MOIN, I am a British translator (German/Dutch to English), in her 20s. I'm from the West Midlands and went to uni in Sheffield. I used live in Oldenburg, NW Germany, but now I work in Northumberland. I studied Low German/Niederdeutsch on the side. You might not be surprised to discover that this created all kinds of linguistic confusion. I don't have many interests that aren't sociolinguistics. But I have some. They are cake, coffee, knitting, going to IKEA, U-Boats, and Irish folk music.
